Description

The Ephoca Ceiling Ducted Heat Strip is a compact all-electric heat pump with a factory-installed electric heat strip designed for ducted ceiling installations in multifamily, commercial, and retrofit applications. This version includes the electric backup heater but no ERV, making it ideal for buildings with existing ventilation systems that still require supplemental heat during colder outdoor conditions.
It operates on R32 refrigerant and uses inverter-driven compressor technology for efficient cooling and heating year-round. The integrated electric heat strip comes in 900 or 1800 watt options and engages automatically when the ambient temperature falls below the primary heat pump’s performance range. It installs above the ceiling and connects to both supply and return ductwork, offering a clean and concealed layout.
The unit supports cooling, heating, auto, and dehumidify modes. It includes a factory-mounted LED controller and supports upgrade paths for wall-mounted and Wi-Fi-based controls. With an external static pressure rating of 0.45 inches and multiple fan speeds, the system adapts to a variety of layout demands.
